National Workshop on Mercury Usage, Processes and Impacts in India

Mercury is recognised as one of the most toxic contaminants in the environment, and yet it continues to be widely used in a host of applications and products of everyday use. Despite a strong global campaign and an increasing awareness on the need for phasing it out, mercury continues to be used in sensitive sectors like healthcare. To discuss various aspects of the issue and to flesh new directions, Toxics Link, in partnership with Zero mercury-working group, is organizing a national workshop on mercury on 27th and 28th of September 2007 at Conference Hall, ICSSR, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi.
